The traditional group program bases premium on individual limits per professional. The entity may share in the limit with each professional or have its own separate limit. An analysis of the allied healthcare personnel and vicarious liability is essential.
Per patient / Per read programs are usually best suited for ER, Hospitalists, Urgent Care and Radiology groups. These are especially appropriate for practices that have part-time professionals, high patient volume or frequent turnover, because you do not need to buy the tail when you leave.
Both programs are available on either occurrence or claims-made policy forms.
Entity coverage should be purchased in association with either your solo policy or group coverage. The entity may share in the limit with each professional or have its own separate limit. We will review the most effective way to protect your entity.
